Almond milk is a great alternative to cow’s milk (unless you have a nut allergy of course). It contains all sorts of important vitamins and minerals. Studies show that it is low in fat, high in energy, protein, fiber, calcium, iron, potassium, Vitamin C, and Vitamin E–just to name a few!
Many people recommend avoiding almond milk that has had carrageenan added to it. Carrageenan can cause stomach issues, especially for those who already have Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS). Be sure to check the ingredients on your almond milk if you’re buying from the store!
